If you are like me and have struggled
with your weight for a while, then I hope that you will find the
following information useful.
I have tried most of the popular high
street weight loss clubs, returning again and again and again over
the years but never having the same success
as the previous time.
In between I’ve tried various diet books, on-line diets and magazine
diets, all leaving me feeling extremely Disillusioned,
Frustrated and Angry with myself,
experiencing times of Resignation, Depression and Hopelessness.
The old saying “If I only
had the time to ....diet......exercise.......plan.......have
time for myself..........” can easily become an excuse, life
always seems to have other plans for me, other than doing what I
want to do.
Life keeps me occupied looking after everyone else, full time job,
housework and a thousand other jobs and tasks requiring my time
and attention. I’m sure you recognise
the picture.
The truth I’ve found,
is that I allow my time to be taken up by these distractions, I
do have the time, it’s just a matter of how I decide to use it.
I have the CHOICE........but sometimes
I find it easier to focus my attention on other things rather than
on myself....then I can also blame the other things for me being
overweight and unhealthy and not “having the time”
to do something about it.

To me it says “Lost.....Gloomy.....Isolated.......”
This isn’t where I want to be.... I have no idea where this
path goes or what dangers and obstacles are in the way.....
This doesn’t feel like a good place to be....
This path feels like it leads to the Resignation,
Depression and Hopelessness I mentioned earlier and I don’t believe that my weight loss GOALS and
health and lifestyle DREAMS are
down that path!!!! |

I hear you asking “How do I lift the
fog or get onto another path???? ”
Over the past few months I have slowly come to realise that my weight problem involves much more than what I eat......
it is a symptom.... and my emotional
state and my relationship with food is the real area of concern.
Also the problem I’ve found with diets is that if you can stick
to the regime and lose weight , as soon as you stop the eating
plan or have a stressful situation to deal with... old habits return and
so does the weight you’ve just struggled to lose..... And with personal experience usually more besides..
To be able to understand and appreciate HOW and WHY my Emotions, Behaviours and Attitudes have such a massive impact on my motivation, willpower and as a consequence my weight is a valuable skill which I am still
learning to master. It is a personal development journey that will lead to me achieving all of my weight, health and personal GOALS and DREAMS

This feels much better to me, it say’s Freedom....Inspiration....Motivation... the path is smooth and wide...well signposted to its destination...
the scenery is wonderful ... the
road has some bends and corners in it to make it interesting...
but there’s enough warning to prepare for slowing down.....in
case of trouble..... The sky is blue and cloudless.... and
on my journey through the mountains each peak conquered is
a DREAM or a GOAL
